Celebrating 30 years of concerts, touring, albums and great original repertoire, Ten Part Invention presents some of its finest repertoire for SIMA at the Soundlounge.
TPI is as dynamic as a small jazz combo, with the power of a big band. Every member is a consummate and unique soloist in a band that boasts many composers and band leaders in its ranks.
Formed by the drummer John Pocheé (now retired), TPI has featured some of the past giants of Australian jazz, including Roger Frampton, Bernie McGann and Ken James.
We welcome back Bob Bertles on baritone sax for this historic concert and are hoping John will be able to join us to speak about the history of the band.
