Featuring the cello and electronic wizardry of Ollie Miller, Carnatic and West African percussion of Tunji Beier and my woodwinds, Gary’s band has finally released our first album Hunger, recorded in 2021 at Trackdown Studios by Mike Root and beautifully mixed by Ollie.
The AMC is a great website to visit for information on Australian music of many styles. You can borrow or buy scores and parts to a range of my works, as well as a selection of CDs on which I feature.
Sydney based big band directed by Jenna Cave
The Mara band has been one of the most formative groups in my career. Since I joined in 1997, Mara has taken me on countless European, North American, Asian and national tours. The Mara band has performed thousands of concerts for Musica Viva in Schools.
With a foundation in music of the Balkans, especially Bulgaria, Macedonia as well as Greece and Turkey, we also compose much of our own music. Many albums are available here as well as news of upcoming projects.
Divergence Jazz Orchestra is a 19 piece big band led by composer Jenna Cave. Their 3rd album Shadows and Light, was recorded at Rancom Studio, engineered by Ross Ahern. I was fortunate to be commissioned by them to write my Darkness of Silence back in 2016 and it's been an honour to collaborate with Jenna and the orchestra to finally record and release it.
